A family garage door business, built by Fernando Dominguez
Fernando Dominguez is an immigrant from Mexico who came to the United States with very little and had to work hard to make a living. A chance encounter with a local garage door technician is where he found the trade.
He spent long hours learning garage door installation, often working late into the night to get it right. Today he runs his own garage door business in Washington, and the crew works out of a shop on Robertson Drive in Richland.
It is a family owned business, and the family is plain about how the work comes in: “As a family owned business, we live by referrals. We ask that if you are happy with our service, to please tell your friends and family.”

The shop is where the van starts its day.
The white van carries the company name, the phone number and the list of what it does: installation, customization, door springs, repair and openers. It is parked at the shop in Richland, and from there the crew drives out across the Tri-Cities.

The black pickup says it on the door: Licensed, Bonded, Insured. The crew is open 24 hours, every day, because a broken spring does not keep office hours.
